Market 3018 is an immersive ‘marketplace’ installation that reflects how Americans interact with their food resources, and the ways in which we waste them. Constructed solely out of food packaging waste, Market 3018 is a Philadelphian marketplace one thousand years in our future. Swamped by plastic cups, straws, and Styrofoam packaging, Market 3018 will serve samples of food created solely from food waste highlighting how we might have to consume food in the future.
Connor Hogan and I conceived the idea for Market 3018 at Pig Iron School For Advanced Theatre Training and initiated a a creative collaboration between Hungry Education today! We are so excited to start this journey of food awareness and waste with the community of Philadelphia and beyond.

Rehearsals for Fly, Eagles, Fly is under way! We had a first rehearsal Sunday night and our second last night. We are sore! lol but we will be so fit after this show. We worked on individual acrobatic tricks and partner tricks. I walked a tightrope , juggled and did a two-high. We improvised a dance football scrum. We laughed a lot. This is going to be a fun three months!
Last Thursday and yesterday we moved over to Terra Hall at the University of the Arts and continued to flesh out the content of the show. This involved many in-depth discussions (arguments?!) about the American Dream and if the American system is indeed flawed (I convinced them it is), physical explorations of the bootstrap myth, experimentation with bringing a cartoon to life on stage and monologuing. A big thanks to Christine and Jacquie for following me down this rabbit hole.
We performed for Ali the writer of The Legendary Trick at The Mantua Project on Sunday 3rd June. It was a riot! I was so impressed by all the writing and the work of the actors. Thanks for having us Drexel!
