Ed recently published his first book Strange Harvest that follows the journey over 7 unusual natural objects. It is a MUST read!
I 'collided' with non-fiction writer Ed Posnett to experiment with what happens when a devised theatre performer and a non-fiction writer create together. We spent over 16 hours together exploring TRUST, AUTHORITY and DECEPTION.

I had the honor of puppeteering The Very Hungry Caterpillar with Brooke Shilling at Please Touch Museum's Imagination Gala Ball.
I'm an Alien! Come check out all the creatures and characters at Please Touch Museum's Halloween Event!!
Our first assignment for our final year of the MFA program is to create a 4-6 minute dance film. I based my choreography on the work of Austrian visual artist Egon Schiele. I filmed in the restrooms at FringeArts with Anna Basile, Jacqueline Libby and Christine Shaw. Big big thanks to FringeArts, Hallie Martenson, Nichole Canuso, Ben Grinberg and Pig Iron Theatre Company for helping me make this a reality! Check out my dance film 'A Comfort Room' HERE! I'm so proud to announce that my living installation piece Saving Chinatown in AAI/PAPA's Philly Asian Histories was a success. I'm so grateful to AAI, PAPA, Annie Fang and all the Chinatown residents I interview who made this project possible. Viewers were very touched by the piece and appreciated the hidden details. Wish I could've seen it in action!
Building my living installation for Philly Asian Histories has begun. This is my first professional installation piece. I'm excited, nervous and scared! Can't wait to see the outcome! DAY ONE: BUMP IN Rented a u-haul van...which is gigantic. Drove it around Philadelphia picking up my new Chinese Lion friend OJ (Thanks PENN LIONS and HENRY!) and a door from PLEASE TOUCH MUSEUM! Of course it started to rain! The incredible interns at Asian Arts Initiative helped me unload my 1000s of cardboard boxes and assemble them. DAY TWO: ARRANGING I changed locations and started arranging the boxes in the space. THEN - we crushed and destroyed all the boxes (thank interns!) DAY THREE (FINAL DAY!): DRESSING AND ACTOR
I spent the entire day dressing the set. Annie Fang my beautiful performer arrived and we workshopped a movement score for her to perform. Lighting. A run-through. Notes. Then I left the piece in the hands of Annie and the incredible team of PAPA performers. Very emotional to let go of this piece. Unfortunately I can't be there for the performance. Looking forward to hearing how the performance goes! I've joined the team at Barnes Foundation and The Renegade Company to create a living 3D installation of Matisse's painting Bonheur de Vivre. Me and several talented knitters, weavers and artists will spend the next 4 months creating this sculpture on the first Sunday of every month. All are welcome. Please join us from some knitting fun (and many stories!) My small knitting creation and Vanessa's large one!
I was incredibly blessed to be cast as the part of 'Christine Louise Patterson' aka 'Jacinta Yelland' in Quintessence's production of One Man, Two Guvnors directed by Trey Lyford. Basically I was the audience 'plant' so sorry if I didn't tell you I was in it - I didn't want to give them game away. What a fabulous week full of laughs and idiocy. The cast was brilliant!
I am creating an immersive performance installation for Asian Arts Initiative and PAPA's production of 'Philly Asian Histories' - a living museum dedicated to Asian history in Philadelphia. My installation expires Chinatown's Friendship Gate and it's fading symbolism. We perform on August 8th and 9th. Hope you can make it! Very excited to be working with this talented community of performers and artists.
The Hemispheric Institute's 11th Encuentro was a success. I came away inspired, re-energized and ready to take action through my art. The people I met have become life-long friends and collaborators. The art and talks I attended have changed my view on the power of art to inspire change. I cannot wait for Encuentro 2021! Thanks again to Australia Council for the Arts for making this trip possible!
